Experience the heart of Kentucky with the Kentucky Golf Trail’s 7-Night Kentucky Bluegrass Experience. This group-friendly package (suitable for 8 or more) is based in downtown Lexington with accommodations at Hilton Lexington/Downtown. Private ground transportation is included throughout the itinerary, and our local team can arrange welcome dinners, reservations, and additional tours to tailor the trip to your group.
Golf highlights include premium rounds at Cherry Blossom Golf Club (championship routing by Clyde Johnston with wide fairways and dramatic bunkering), Houston Oaks Golf Club (consistently rated among Kentucky’s top courses with an expansive practice complex), The Woodford Club (an 18-hole par-71 layout set across 150 acres of rolling Bluegrass hills), and Gibson Bay Golf Course (designed by Michael Hurdzan with multiple tee options and bent-grass surfaces). Tee times, practice access, and group coordination are arranged as part of the package.
Off the course enjoy curated bourbon and equine experiences: a tour and tasting at the historic James E. Pepper Distillery, a guided day visiting multiple distilleries with tastings and lunch, and a morning tour at Keeneland Racecourse to watch Thoroughbreds at work. Day 6 in the itinerary is intentionally left open for customization — add spa time, more golf, private horse farm visits, or additional bourbon stops.
Pricing starts at a planning estimate of R48 519 per person based on double occupancy; final pricing will be customized to your travel dates, selected accommodations, and tour components. The package includes accommodations (Hilton Downtown Lexington unless otherwise specified), private transportation throughout the itinerary, scheduled golf rounds and green fees as listed, selected distillery tours and tastings, and the Keeneland visit. - Day 1: Check in to Hilton Downtown Lexington, KY. Walking distance to many restaurants, bars and entertainment. Welcome dinner recommendations/reservations can be arranged.
- Day 2: AM Golf at Cherry Blossom Golf Club (designed by Clyde Johnston). PM Tour and tasting at the historic James E. Pepper Distillery.
- Day 3: AM Golf at Houston Oaks Golf Club (rated among Kentucky's top courses). Afternoon at leisure or optional activities.
- Day 4: Guided Tour Day — private driver exploring the Bluegrass region with stops at three distilleries for tours and tastings, plus lunch.
- Day 5: AM Keeneland Racecourse Tour — observe morning workouts and explore grounds. Mid AM Golf at The Woodford Club (18-hole, par-71 across rolling Bluegrass hills).
