Fancourt has once again raised the bar in leisure and lifestyle experiences with the official opening of The Ridge. Situated close to The Links golf course and the Fancourt Academy, The Ridge is designed to offer guests and Members a diverse and enriching addition to the estate’s world-class facilities.

A Unique Golfing Experience
At the heart of The Ridge is The Links Experience, a newly developed 9-hole golf course. Thoughtfully crafted to complement the championship pedigree of The Links, this course offers both Members and guests a unique playing opportunity. It is the perfect blend of accessibility and challenge, inviting golfers of all levels to immerse themselves in the game.

Padel Arrives at Fancourt
The Ridge also introduces two brand-new padel courts, a fast-growing sport that merges elements of tennis and squash. Padel is known for its social, fun, and energetic pace, making it an ideal new addition for Members and guests looking to enjoy friendly competition in a fresh setting.

Amanita Restaurant – A Name with History
Adding a culinary dimension to The Ridge is Amanita, the newly opened restaurant whose name carries a fascinating story rooted in Fancourt’s heritage. The restaurant is named after the Amanita mushroom, recalling the tale of Henry Fancourt White, one of the estate’s historic owners, who was tragically poisoned by mushrooms he had foraged.
Far from ominous, Amanita pays homage to this unique piece of history while celebrating the flavors of the Garden Route. Guests can expect a locally inspired menu, featuring specialties such as Geel Vet biltong and freshly caught line fish, crafted to highlight the region’s rich culinary traditions.

Lawn Bowls Opening Soon
