- South Downs Country Club is situated in Kibler Park in the southern suburbs of Johannesburg, nestled among koppies and bird life
- The Bloubos Spruit runs through the centre of the course and is a key feature on a number of holes
- South Downs Country Club was started in 1947 as Virginia park Golf Club but the official name has always been South Downs Country Club
- From Jhn, travel on the N12 towards Witbank, take the Klipriver Road turn-off. Go over the traffic lights, turn right into Klipriver Road , at the 4th set of traffic lights turn right into Impala Road, after 3km right into Springbok Road and then left into Albaster Avenue
- The Course is a Par 72 Layout of 5902m For Men and a Par 72 for the Ladies Playing at 5272m
