The Simbavati Lodge Collection is a portfolio of intimate South African properties located in the Western Cape (Cederberg Ridge, Fynbos on Sea) and the Greater Kruger region (Timbavati & Klaserie). Each lodge is designed to connect guests to its landscape — from coastal fynbos and protea farms on the Garden Route to riverfront and hilltop safari camps in private nature reserves. Properties range from self-catering cottages and superior suites to luxury tented safari rooms and exclusive‑use villas.
Safari lodges (River Lodge, Hilltop Lodge, Waterside, Camp George and Trails Camp) operate mainly on an All‑Inclusive basis: accommodation, all meals, two scheduled safari activities per day and selected beverages (excluding premium brands) are typically included. Activities include twice-daily game drives, guided walks, star‑gazing and optional special experiences such as sleepout decks and wood‑fired KolKol tubs at selected camps. Minimum stay recommendations and child-age rules vary by lodge (2‑night minimum at most safari lodges; some camps have minimum age restrictions).
Coastal and wilderness properties (Simbavati Fynbos on Sea) offer relaxed farm and coastal experiences with bed & breakfast. Inclusions at these lodge can include meals, scheduled excursions (rock‑art walks, farm tours), use of walking and mountain‑bike trails, and complimentary Wi‑Fi. The Fynbos Cottage is offered as a self‑catering, exclusive‑use option suitable for families; guests may book lodge meals separately.
