Mashatu Game Reserve, known as the 'Land of the Giants', is a privately owned wilderness destination in the Northern Tuli Game Reserve of eastern Botswana. The property comprises multiple luxury accommodation options including Euphorbia Mashatu villas, Mashatu Lodge, Tuli Safari Lodge, Mashatu Tent Camp and exclusive safari homes, alongside award-winning photographic hides and a dedicated PhotoMashatu team for wildlife photography support.

The reserve hosts the annual Land of the Giants (LOTG) cycling event — a week-long, hosted cycling and safari experience that blends multi-day mountain-bike stages with the classic safari programme. Riders cover staged distances on purpose-planned tracks through elephant-lined paths, sandstone ridges and river valleys; the event includes guided cycling groups, support vehicles, medics, mechanics, daily game drives and optional safari walks, and uplifts conservation fundraising and awareness for the Tuli Conservation Trust.

Guests enjoy full-board accommodation packages, guided game drives, photographic hides, mountain-bike rentals (and e-bikes on request), cultural visits, transfers including internal flights to Limpopo Valley Airfield, and on-site services such as Wi‑Fi, laundry and curated dining under open skies. Accommodation ranges from private 5-star villas with plunge pools to intimate tented suites, offering both exclusive-use and family-friendly options.

Mashatu places conservation and community impact at the heart of its experiences: LOTG proceeds support anti-poaching work and Tuli Conservation Trust initiatives. For event bookings and lodge reservations the property provides a reservations team and an events manager for LOTG enquiries; travellers can contact Mashatu for rates, itineraries and to secure space for this signature conservation-focused cycling and safari programme.
