From 1 May to 30 September each year, Kruger Untamed returns for a fleeting season, creating two exclusive camps that vanish without trace when the time is done. Both Tshokwane River Camp and Satara Plains Camp are temporary by design, but deeply enriching for those who come to share in them. 

Tshokwane River Camp offers a refined slow-safari experience, crafted for guests who value depth and detail. With just 20 tents set in one of Kruger’s richest wildlife areas, it is a camp shaped by intimacy and immersion. Elevated dining, a carefully considered beverage list, and fireside storytelling enrich each day, while the surrounding terrain is perfect for long walks and expert tracking on foot. This is classic safari in its purest form – unscripted, unfiltered, untamed. 

Satara Plains Camp is the social heartbeat of Kruger Untamed. Set on open savannah near a natural spring, its 30 expedition-style tents place you in the heart of “cat country,” where big skies and predator-rich landscapes create thrilling safari days. Hearty meals, evenings gathered around the fire, and flexible safari options bring people together in a spirit of adventure and connection. Satara is bold yet welcoming – a celebration of freedom beneath Africa’s wide sky.
