Flook presents a dedicated Ireland Father–Son Golf Tournament designed for players who want to combine competitive spirit with shared travel experiences.
A golf getaway designed to bond father and son over the course of 6 days across some of Ireland's most iconic venues. The perfect way to play a sport you love—together.With the inaugural 2026 event at capacity, we are pleased to open up registration for our 2027 event. We are excited to head back to Lahinch GC (host of the 2026 Walker Cup) and Trump International Doonbeg (host of the 2026 Irish Open) who will play host to our guests once again.
Our guests will arrive to Doonbeg on May 16 and get settled for the next 5 nights. A welcome reception awaits in the evening following by a practice round at Lahinch the following day. The next 3 rounds will be for all the marbles as teams compete for hardware and bragging rights amongst their fellow competitors.
This multi-day package focuses on world-class Irish links, organized tee times, and tournament administration so fathers and sons can concentrate on the game and the scenery.
The package includes tournament coordination, pre-booked tee times at selected championship courses, ground transfers between venues, and assistance from an experienced trip leader. Guests can expect comfortable hotel accommodation, group dining options, and social events such as an opening reception and awards presentation that bring the group together off the course.
Accommodations and amenities are selected to support golfers: luggage transfers, course-side information, local course introductions, and optional practice facilities where available. Flook's travel partner provides local knowledge for cultural excursions and sightseeing for non-playing companions or for downtime between rounds.
The trip is ideal for families and golfers seeking a structured, full-service golf travel experience in Ireland — combining competitive play, shared memories, and guided logistics for a stress-free tournament week.
Itinerary
6-day/5-night tournament programme based at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Doonbeg. Sample programme:
- Day 1 (Arrival - 16 May): Arrive at Doonbeg, check in to the hotel. Welcome reception and pairings party in the evening.
- Day 2: Practice round at Lahinch Golf Club.
- Days 3–5: Tournament play — three competitive rounds (combination of Lahinch and Doonbeg as per event pairing). Daily on-course contests and long drive competition on the Doonbeg range.
- Day 6 (Final evening): Awards gala dinner and presentations. Departure arrangements thereafter (chauffeured transfers to Shannon Airport as required).
Exact tee times, course pairings and the daily schedule will be provided to confirmed competitors prior to travel.
